QR Code How-To
What is a QR code?
QR codes look somewhat like a barcode, only they are square and contain a pattern of shapes that can be recognized by any smartphone (they do not require special software).
QR codes easily and quickly guide audience members to webpages, programs, app downloads, online shopping carts, videos and music, response forms, important information/resources, and so much more. They’re used in advertisements, newspapers, signs, and even on vehicles!
Why does Orchestra Iowa use QR codes?
QR codes are part of Orchestra Iowa’s efforts to make our programming more accessible to all!
A QR code scan only takes a few seconds, and makes the linked resource available for you instantly, whether you want to use it now or at a later time.
QR codes also eliminate the need to type in long URLs or navigate websites on small smartphone screens – particularly helpful in situations with limited time or low visibility, such as a concert hall prior to a performance.
